Craig Thomas Ellrod (ORCID 0009-0004-1058-7666) is the sole maintainer and is responsible for the editorial text of this specification. Only the proofprotocol GitHub account pushes to this repository.

Decisions

• Normative changes are decided by the maintainer, recorded in CHANGELOG.md, and released as a tagged version.
• Every release updates AI_DISCLOSURE.md, ai_disclosure.json, FUNDING.md and REVIEWERS.md before it is tagged.
• A funder, reviewer or implementer gains no right to alter normative text (FUNDING.md Rule 3, REVIEWERS.md Rule 2).

Relationship to ACP

This repository is independent of the Agentic Commerce Protocol project. Any text submitted to the ACP repository is submitted by the maintainer under ACP's own CLA and governance, is limited to what is stated in the submission, and does not change the license of this repository.

Ethics

The Proof Economy Code of Ethics (ETHICS.md) governs everyone who maintains, funds, reviews or relies on this work. LICENSE.md Part C8 enforces it.
